First Columbia Helps Local Company Maintain Operations in New Windsor.
(NEW WINDSOR) First Columbia has completed development of their latest commercial office building at New York International Plaza (NYIP) and ENAP, Inc., a local lumber and building materials cooperative has moved their corporate headquarters into the 48,000 square-foot office building located at 555 Hudson Valley Ave
ENAP joins LSI/ Lightron, Pace University, Westchester Cardiology, Mid-Hudson Family Health Institute, McGoey, Hauser & Edsall, Hudson Valley Imaging and the Hudson Valley Economic Development Corp. at the Plaza, taking advantage of the state-of-the-art facilities, suburban office park setting and centralized location.
ENAP represents over 400 independent lumber dealers in 30 states. As the organization outgrew its pre-existing office space, company executives considered moving operations to North Carolina to be closer to lumber production facilities. The option of staying in the Hudson Valley was made feasible by the incentives offered by New York State and First Columbia.
“We are excited about this move because it enables us to stay in the area, and because it provides a modern, high-tech setting for us to grow into over the next several years,” said ENAP CEO C.C. Snyder.
The staff of ninety will occupy the entire second floor of their new building, which is roughly 25,000 square feet of office space. The new office condominium fits into the company’s plan for growth and development expected to occur within the next ten years.
“ENAP is a great example of the kind of top quality, forward-thinking employers that New York International Plaza will draw to the area or help retain,” said First Columbia Vice President Chris Bette. “We’re thrilled that they are here. They are a very professional organization that obviously takes pride in what they do and in their employees. Their office and personnel are top notch. They are a great addition to the Plaza.”
New York International Plaza is a 263-acre office park located adjacent to Stewart International Airport. The Plaza is slated to include two million square feet of Class A commercial space that will include office space, retail, restaurants, lodging and a fitness and healthcare center.
First Columbia is one of the region’s largest real estate developers and part of the Bette Family of Companies, a diversified building organization headquartered in Albany.
